Principal's Message

It is a great honour for me to head Government Mohindra College, Patiala, a prestigious, 134 years old institution of Punjab. Government Mohindra College, Patiala, with its highly qualified, dedicated, experienced and extremely motivated faculty aspires to provide the best possible education to its students. It is our endeavour to facilitate each student in acquiring skills and abilities as preparation to keep pace with the needs of the fast changing educational and job scenario.

We believe that it is the individuals with technologically sound knowledge base who emerge as the winners. Our commitment is towards helping our students make appropriate educational and career choices to empower them to attain success.

It is my strong belief that education is not mere accumulation of knowledge but the development of personal qualities of truthfulness, honesty, diligence and integrity that actually enable one to live life to the fullest, to exploit individual potential to the maximum, to achieve the greatest heights possible, and to live a life of excellence. These qualities help us in making the right choices, taking charge of our lives and achieving the best possible.

I would like my students to focus and build on their strengths. Limitations and weaknesses, which are anyway not a permanent part of an individual, are left behind, as the individual gears up to meet life's challenges with the will and determination to be better and better each day. The sky is the limit for optimists, initiators, and innovators, for it is to them the future belongs.

Along with personal development, let us also remember the common good. We ought to develop an understanding, empathy and compassion for those who are less fortunate than us. Let us learn to extend ourselves to the deprived, underprivileged and ignored sections of the society. With their development alone can our nation move forward. Channelize your tremendous energy towards the service of others. Serving the community and working tirelessly towards the larger good will justify the nation's investment in your education
